First Vice President, Danielle Zuckerman officiated in the absence of Ilyssa Meyer, President. Danielle announced that a buses to Pennsylvania were leaving every Saturday morning from Union Square. Members can register on the VoteBlue website. Those traveling to Pennsylvania on the buses will work to support Fetterman for Senate and Shapiro for Governor.
Jane Bergere, representing NYPIRG, said that her organization is working to register voters, especially young voters on college campuses. Jane provided information about the four upcoming ballot propositions, one of which is a Statewide proposition and three of which apply only to New York City.
State Senator Andrew Gounardes asked for the Club’s help in getting out the vote in Southern Brooklyn. He noted that races are tightening across the board.
Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon said that while there was no concern about the assembly race in the 52nd AD, there was considerable concern with regard to the NYS Gubernatorial race and Max Rose’s campaign for Congress.
