Seamus Campbell, president of IND, opened the meeting.
City Council Member Lincoln Restler thanked IND for its endorsement of his candidacy and for petitioning on his behalf. He announced that he has a challenger in the primary race and provided a brief City Hall update.
Olivia O’Brien, representing City Council candidate Maya Kornberg expressed apologies for Maya’s absence due to a family medical issuer and announced that the campaign is looking for more volunteers.
Anthony Orlando, representing Comptroller candidate Justin Brannan thanked IND for their endorsement and asked for assistance with the campaign.
Janis Purvis thanked IND for their support.

- Announced the number of petition signatures collected for the various candidates and awarded prizes for the top signature collectors.
- Explained how ranked choice endorsements would be handled in IND.
- Asked for confirmation of the nominated members and officers of the IND executive committee.
- Announced various calendar events which also appear on the IND website.
Greg Monte, speaking on behalf of the UFT, announced a NYSUT-sponsored rally to “Fix Tier 6,” in the NYS Teachers Retirement System.
Representative Dan Goldman provided a Washington update, took questions and led a discussion on how best to push back on Trump.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 pm.
